Senior Manager - Talent Acquisition - EdTech/Startup
Description
What you will own (first 12 - 18 months):
- Hiring book: Own the Tech, Product and Trainers hiring book (around 25+ open roles plus campus hiring); close on time with no requisition open past 45 days.
- Team performance: Run a weekly book review with the TA managers; get each of them to 90%+ of their hiring targets.
- Spend and governance: Keep TA spend within the quarterly budget, close hiring KPIs every month on time, and run recruiter incentives with zero disputes.
What you will do:
- Lead, coach and grow a team of TA managers and recruiters; set their targets and review them on numbers.
- Personally drive senior and hard-to-fill hires, especially tech (SDE) and product roles, from sourcing to offer to joining.
- Run hiring from funnel metrics (time-to-offer, offer-drop, source mix, cost-per-hire) and change course on the data.
- Partner with department heads and founders: push back on unclear requisitions and run a tight hiring-manager feedback loop.
- Design processes and tools others can run; drive automation and AI in sourcing and screening rather than adding headcount.
- Manage agencies, job boards and LinkedIn spend like a P&L, and bring cost-per-hire down.
- Build employer brand through content, referrals and campus presence.
What we are looking for:
- 8 - 12 years in recruiting / talent acquisition.
- Has managed a team of 4+ recruiters or TA managers, with hiring numbers you personally owned.
- Has personally closed tech/product hiring at volume (around 20 - 30 SDEs; fewer PMs is fine).
- Runs hiring on data and tools: has used an ATS or funnel dashboard and made decisions from the metrics.
- In-house TA experience at a product company, edtech or fast-growing startup (agency start is fine with 4+ years in-house).
- Uses AI or automation in your own recruiting today, with a real example.
- Willing to work on-site in Hyderabad full-time.
