Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting
This is a senior-level accounting professional responsible for supporting technical accounting and financial reporting functions across a diverse and evolving organization. This position provides technical accounting expertise and supports the financial reporting function of the Company. The role helps ensure accurate financial statements, appropriate accounting treatment, effective internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support on technical accounting matters, including technical accounting memos and white paper authoring.
- Provide accounting guidance related to proposed transactions to ensure conformity with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
- Serve as a technical accounting resource and help guide the organization through complex accounting issues.
- Support the Controller’s organization on technical accounting matters and provide guidance and training as appropriate.
- Support financial reporting processes, including assessing, implementing, and maintaining technical accounting policies.
- Collaborate with Operations, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment and accurate reporting.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Support the quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosure processes, ensuring financial statements are prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulations.
- Conduct accounting research and stay current on U.S. GAAP, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
- Ensure significant accounting matters are appropriately evaluated and documented as part of the financial reporting process.
- Assist in preparing reporting packages for executive leadership and other stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting and financial reporting operations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, including preparing supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries. Serve as a key point of contact for complex accounting matters.
- Support special projects as required by management, including automation around accounting processes and financial reporting, due diligence, SOX readiness, and continuous process improvements.
- Work closely with the Director and other members of the accounting leadership team on complex accounting matters and financial reporting initiatives.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or public company environments.
- Experience supporting accounting and financial reporting in a complex, multi-business or rapidly evolving organization.
- Experience with complex consolidations, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
- Prior experience with ERP systems; Oracle Cloud experience is preferred.
- Technical proficiency in ASC 730, ASC 360, ASC 606, ASC 842, and other complex accounting transactions.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos, researching accounting guidance, and evaluating complex transactions.
- Experience with financial reporting, disclosures, MD&A, and SEC filings.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with external auditors and supporting SOX readiness and internal control initiatives is preferred.

Job Details:
Salary Range Level X: $173,579 - $231,439
*We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
