Make an impact with our Valuations team as a Senior Manager/ Manager in the Winnipeg, Office. This diverse team of professionals assists clients with a broad range of business planning and dispute related matters by applying recognized valuation methodologies to develop independent financial conclusions. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide independent and reliable business valuations that empower clients to advance their strategic goals and make value-driven business decisions with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead business valuations and litigation support engagements, including business interruption claims, damage quantifications and financial modelling.
• Help clients understand the value of their business and its components by providing independent, reliable valuation advice.
• Lead interactions with client management, stakeholders, legal counsel, and financial advisors.
• Lead industry and market research, including trends, valuation multiples for relevant public companies, and precedent transactions.
• Prepare and review cash flows, valuation models, technical analyses, projections, and forecasts.
• Design and develop high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations, and correspondence.
• Manage engagement planning, scheduling, and project financials, including budgets, work-in-progress, timely billing, collections, and variance recognition.
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients while ensuring client needs are met and relationships continue to grow.
• Maintain strong quality control by applying specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address client-specific issues and key business risks.
• Stay up to date on market trends and current valuation issues to assess and improve current approaches.
• Build relationships in the local business community, identify business development opportunities, and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals.
• Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses, and industry.
• Mentor, motivate, and coach team members by setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, conducting performance reviews, and supporting professional and personal development.
• Contribute to strategic and operational planning for client and practice management, including the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as required.

Skills and Experience

• CPA and CBV designations.
• 4-9 years of professional services experience, primarily in financial analysis and valuations.
• Strong business and practice development skills.
• Proven leadership, people management, relationship-building, and team development skills.
• Strong strategic planning, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
