Senior Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manual QA Engineer to own end-to-end quality assurance for enterprise-grade web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing, accessibility testing, test strategy, defect management, and release readiness, along with experience guiding a small QA team.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end test planning, strategy, test case design, and execution for complex applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Lead defect identification, prioritisation, tracking, and resolution using JIRA or similar tools.
• Conduct accessibility testing across web, Android, and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Review test cases, allocate testing tasks, and mentor junior QA team members.
• Support API testing using Postman and coordinate with automation teams on regression testing.
• Validate business-critical workflows, including subscriptions, billing, payments, and monetisation.
• Test AI-powered tools using prompts to evaluate functionality, accuracy, robustness, safety, and reasoning.
• Provide QA status reports, identify release risks, and recommend Go/No-Go decisions.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in manual/functional QA testing for web and mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle management.
• At least 2 years of experience guiding or coordinating a small QA team.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG and ARIA.
• Experience with accessibility testing methods such as keyboard navigation, screen readers, colour contrast, and voice-over testing.
• Hands-on exposure to accessibility tools such as Axe, WAVE, NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, or TalkBack.
• Good understanding of API testing using Postman.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with prompt-based AI testing and the ability to distinguish traditional software testing from AI tool testing.

Good to Have:

• ISTQB Foundation/Advanced certification or equivalent.
• Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, performance testing, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in client-facing or distributed team environments.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
