Role Purpose

Provide specialist manufacturing process-engineering support for aero-engine assembly and production programmes. The role applies engineering principles to optimise manufacturing processes, resolve production and process issues, establish controlled work instructions, and deliver manufacturing-system improvements aligned with programme, quality, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Apply engineering principles and techniques to analyse, plan and optimise aero-engine manufacturing and assembly processes.

· Analyse and troubleshoot process-engineering, manufacturing, assembly and maintenance-related issues; identify root causes and recommend practical engineering solutions.

· Develop, validate, release and maintain process plans, routings, streamers, standard work, digital work instructions and visual instructions for controlled production execution.

· Lead manufacturing-system improvement, industrialisation, production-readiness and process-transfer initiatives in accordance with programme objectives and applicable requirements.

· Define assembly sequences, process parameters, tooling requirements, process controls and acceptance criteria for critical manufacturing operations.

· Support new product introduction and manufacturing readiness through APQP, PPAP, FAIR, SPC, MSA, process validation and qualification activities, where applicable.

· Create and maintain product, process and plant structures within PLM/CAPP/MES environments and support reliable engineering-to-manufacturing data flow.

· Develop and maintain FBoM,EBoM, BBoM, ABoM, BoP and tooling BoM structures in Teamcenter MPP/MSM.

· Configure and support Siemens SIMATIC IT MES, SAP Author/Viewer and digital work-instruction solutions for assembly and production operations.

· Perform clash checks, manufacturing data validation and issue resolution during modification buy-off and process-release activities.

· Use Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methods to improve productivity, quality, process capability, safety and delivery performance.

· Develop manufacturing KPIs and dashboards using Power BI, Excel and VBA to support operational review and corrective action.

· Collaborate with design, production, quality, maintenance, supply chain and digital teams across TCS and customer organisations.

· Mentor engineering teams and support knowledge transfer across multicultural and cross-border delivery environments.

Required Technical Competencies

· Manufacturing and assembly process engineering, process planning, industrial engineering and production support.

· Teamcenter MPP/MSM, Siemens SIMATIC IT MES, SAP Author/Viewer, Siemens NX and Net-Inspect.

· Aero-engine assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, plant layout, process validation and manufacturing datastructures.

· AS9100, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, FAIR, SPC, MSA and root-cause analysis.

· Power BI, Microsoft Excel, VBA and automation tools for manufacturing analytics and reporting.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.

· 15+ years of relevant manufacturing, assembly or process-engineering experience, including complex aerospace or automotive manufacturing environments.

· Demonstrated experience in process optimisation, production troubleshooting, industrialisation and digital manufacturing transformation.

· Experience working with international customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
