Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES)
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES & Smart Factory) to drive digital manufacturing initiatives at HSOT. This role is responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of the Tulip MES platform and related manufacturing applications.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Global IT teams, you will help deliver smart factory solutions through system integration, workflow digitization, manufacturing data management, automation, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and support of Tulip MES applications and digital manufacturing solutions.
Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, compliant, and user-friendly solutions.
Integrate MES with manufacturing equipment, enterprise systems, and data platforms.
Support Computer System Validation (CSV), testing, risk assessments, and release activities.
Drive troubleshooting, performance improvements, and operational support for manufacturing applications.
Identify and implement Smart Factory initiatives, including automation, traceability, digital workflows, and shop-floor data collection.
Develop dashboards, analytics, and reporting tools to improve manufacturing visibility and decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technology partners to deliver digital transformation projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in MES, Manufacturing IT, Digital Manufacturing, or Smart Factory environments.
Proven experience with MES platforms such as Tulip MES, Siemens Opcenter, Critical Manufacturing, or similar systems.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, system integration, production traceability, and industrial data management.
Experience with APIs, databases, MQTT, OPC-UA, equipment connectivity, and application troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV), GxP, or Medical Device/Pharmaceutical manufacturing is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
