Senior Market Access Operations Analyst

SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE


The Senior Market Access Operations Analyst manages operational and analytical activities supporting commercial and trade rebate programs. The role is responsible for ensuring compliant and accurate execution of invoice management, contract administration, and reporting processes. This position partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve operational issues, improve processes, and support critical business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


• Review, validate, and process Market Access Operations invoices; investigate unexpected balances and work with vendors to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
• Partner with Accounts Payable and Procurement to facilitate timely payments and vendor setup/updates.
• Manage the purchase requisition (PR) process, including requisition creation, approval coordination, budget tracking, rebate payment monitoring, and related documentation.
• Interpret contractual requirements, reimbursement methodologies, and internal guidance to evaluate non-routine situations and determine appropriate operational actions.
• Lead ad-hoc reporting and analyses to support business operations and decision-making.
• Maintain and improve contract, requisition, and payment documentation to support audit readiness, compliance requirements, and reporting needs.
• Lead or support special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and other projects as needed.
• Analyze operational data, identify trends, discrepancies, and process inefficiencies, and develop solutions that improve reporting accuracy, workflow efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing operational guidance and recommendations to facilitate issue resolution and achievement of business objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education


• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience with a concentration in Healthcare, Data Management, Finance, and/or Accounting; or
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Preferred:
• Understanding of the US Healthcare System.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and Market Access key functions.
• Reading and understanding statutes and law.
• Documenting Processes and Procedures.
• Strong computer skills including advanced Excel and data management skills.
• Exercise independent judgment in evaluating operational issues, prioritizing work, interpreting requirements, and determining appropriate courses of action within established guidelines.
• Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize time-sensitive tasks.
• Demonstrates urgency, respect and confidentiality; is approachable and interacts professionally.
• Responds well to shifting priorities by maintaining flexibility and professionalism.
• Routinely produces quality work, contributes to efficiency and productivity
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $114,500 - $162,500 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.

In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
