Senior Market Risk Manager
You will provide second-line oversight of market risk across trading activities. You will partner with trading desks to understand strategies and exposures, enhance risk limits and stress testing, investigate risk breaches and P&L anomalies, and support regulatory governance, audits, and risk reporting. You will also apply automation and AI to improve risk processes, independently challenge new strategies, and mentor junior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Partner with trading desks to understand strategies, exposures, and emerging risks across ETFs, fixed income, FX, digital assets, and options.
- Support the development and oversight of market risk appetite, limits, stress testing, and intraday controls.
- Monitor portfolio risk, investigate breaches and P&L anomalies, and drive risk mitigation initiatives.
- Design and enhance cross-asset stress testing, risk analytics, and monitoring methodologies.
- Leverage AI and automation to improve risk monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Support regulatory requirements, governance processes, audits, and risk committee reporting.
- Independently challenge new trading strategies and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in market risk, front-office risk, or trading.
- Hands-on experience across at least two core asset classes: ETFs, bonds, FX, digital assets, or options.
- Experience in an IFR/IFD or equivalent CRR/Basel environment, including ICARAP or similar processes.
- Strong understanding of VaR, stress testing, Greeks, and concentration metrics.
- Familiarity with options and derivatives, particularly for ETFs and digital assets.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Python.
- Interest in applying AI tools to risk processes and operational efficiency.
- University degree in a quantitative field such as finance, mathematics, physics, engineering, or econometrics.
- Excellent communication with traders and senior management.
- Fluency in English.
