Senior Marketing Manager
Reporting into our Category Marketing Lead, this trade driven marketing role is varied and will see you wear your strategic planning hat and keeping hands on with the ‘doing’. You’ll be a trusted marketing partner and collaborator to our category teams. Toys are a significant category for us, with fun, vibrant and significant activations and trading events (e.g. our famous yearly Mega Toy Sale). The wider categories can be trend focused and seasonal in nature so timing and lots of buzz is of the essence!
- Lead, develop and deliver trading campaigns, including across major trading events, support key business category plans with impactful marketing activity that drive sales, profitability and brand building.
- Lead the Discover, Define, Design & Deliver plans for specific Category, MTE and Brand activity in support of KPIs
- Work closely with creative, media team, merchandising, operations, media, corporate comms and omni experience to ensure marketing activities are integrated providing a cohesive customer experience.
- Work collaboratively with wider Retail Marketing team to ensure alignment and delivery of commercial and customer outcomes across one communications plan
- Manage agreed aspects of Marketing A&P budget efficiently across activity to improve effectiveness and ROI
Your retail marketing background, strategic thinking and trading mindset are an absolute must. Your collaborative approach, commercial acumen, customer mindset and stakeholder management skills means you innately understand key levers and can take stakeholders along on the journey to deliver impactful results. - Proven successes delivering commercial results in a similar retail environment
- Broad multichannel marketing experience – in a trading/category capacity
- Intensely curious about category/consumer/shopper behaviour and innovative in approach
- Project management skills (managing timelines and budgets)
- A confident interactor and strong communicator – you know how to win friends, influence, negotiate, and push back when needed
