Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Team Leader), you will oversee and guide a team of 10 design engineers in Marine engineering solutions. You will be responsible for managing project workflows and ensuring that all design activities meet standards and project deadline.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and motivate a team of design engineers. Provide guidance on technical issues, project management, and career development.
• Project management : Define project scope, allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery and adherence to standards.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to present complex ideas clearly to various stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to address and resolve design and project-related challenges effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design engineering and leadership or team management role.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD and 3D SOLIDWORK. Strong understanding of engineering principles, hydraulic and electric system design and automated system design.
• The role will be based in Singapore and may involve occasional travel to client sites or manufacturing facilities.
