Senior Mechanical Designer (visits to the client in EU)
We are looking for a Mechanical Designer who will create ergonomic, manufacturable, and production-ready enclosures for IoT devices — from concept to mass production.
The ideal candidate should understand not only aesthetics, but also enclosure engineering, materials, and hardware product manufacturing.
Requirements:
4+ years in Industrial / Mechanical Design;
Experience designing enclosures for electronic devices (IoT / wearables / industrial / healthcare);
Experience delivering products from concept to production;
English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher;
Experience with cost-down/cost-optimisation strategies;
Material compatibility (basic understanding);
Basic understanding of top-down approach is a must.
Responsibilities:
Design mechanical architecture for consumer electronics — enclosures, assemblies, and internal packaging — from concept to mass production
Perform thermal and heat dissipation calculations, modeling and analysis
Perform DFM/DFA reviews and optimize parts for injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal production
Integrate PCBs, sensors, and connectors within tight mechanical constraints in collaboration with hardware engineers
Conduct tolerance analysis and prepare full manufacturing documentation (BOM, 2D drawings)
Execute prototyping cycles using FDM/SLA and 3D scanning; validate fit, function, and aesthetics
Coordinate with industrial design, hardware, and production teams; manage vendor and contractor communication
