Senior Mechanical Engineer

Education and Experience

• Requires a Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree Add Degree of Diploma /Tool and Die making
• 10-15 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities

• 3D CAD Modelling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent)
• Engineering Calculations and Mechanical Analysis
• Materials Selection and Application Engineering
• GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis
• Manufacturing Processes: Machining, Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Welding, Painting, Coating, and Assembly
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Analysis, and Corrective Action Implementation
• Supplier Quality and Supplier Technical Management
• Pneumatic System Design and Component Selection
• SAP familiarity (ERP system)
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Methodologies
• Engineering Documentation and Reporting
• Knowledge of ISO Standards, including ISO 2768
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of a variety of metal fabrication methods, including Sheet Metal, Welding, Machining, and Plating.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
• Knowledge in Lean
• Manufacturing in an OEM/Capital Equipment production environment preferred
• knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to execute in a fast paced and dynamic environment
