About the Role
The Senior Member Marketing Manager leads member marketing strategy, innovation, and execution across client programs. This role serves as a strategic advisor to both clients and internal teams, translating market trends, client needs, member behavior, and business priorities into effective engagement strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer and strong operator who can move fluidly between client conversations, market analysis, campaign planning, and internal execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy, Insights, & Innovation
- Lead strategy: Develop and evolve member marketing strategies that align with client goals, market expectations, and member needs.
- Monitor trends: Track market trends, client feedback, member engagement patterns, and emerging communication practices within healthcare, benefits, and B2B2C marketing.
- Translate insights: Turn market and client insights into clear recommendations, campaign strategies, messaging approaches, and channel plans.
- Drive evolution: Identify opportunities to improve the member marketing approach using new campaign concepts, personalization, and journey-based communications.
- Create resources: Develop strategic points of view, playbooks, presentations, and guidance materials for internal teams and clients.
Client-Facing Advisory & Partnership
- Serve as advisor: Act as a strategic member marketing consultant to clients and client-facing teams.
- Partner directly: Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, member populations, communication challenges, and success measures.
- Lead conversations: Guide client discussions regarding marketing strategy, campaign planning, best practices, and program optimization.
- Brief teams: Translate client needs into clear marketing strategies, project briefs, and execution plans.
- Balance priorities: Manage consultative partnership alongside operational discipline to help clients understand recommended vs. feasible timelines.
Product Definition & Operationalization
- Cross-functional alignment: Partner across Product, Client Success, Implementation, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to define and scale member marketing strategies.
- Understand product: Track product capabilities, roadmap priorities, member experience considerations, and market expectations.
- Communicate updates: Define how new products, features, or program changes should be communicated to members across channels.
- Build toolkits: Lead the development of messaging strategies, communication journeys, campaign templates, and enablement materials.
- Standardize processes: Determine what resources should be standardized versus customizable, packaging them effectively for client-facing teams.
What You’ll BringExperience & Industry Knowledge
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, member marketing, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, or account-based marketing.
- B2B2C Marketing: Demonstrated experience developing and executing B2B2C marketing or communication programs.
- Client Management: Proven experience working directly with clients, business partners, or external stakeholders in a consultative capacity.
- Industry Preference: Experience in healthcare, employee benefits, health plans, digital health, navigation, or care advocacy is strongly preferred.

- Strategic Translation: Strong ability to turn business goals and audience insights into clear marketing plans.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creating presentations and client-ready materials.
- Project Management: Robust skills in managing timelines, priorities, stakeholders, and workflow processes.
- Collaboration: Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams including product, legal, and operations.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze campaign performance, synthesize feedback, and recommend practical improvements.
- Traits: High degree of organization, ownership, judgment, personal accountability, and attention to detail.
Technical & Tools Proficiency
- Comfortable using marketing, project management, CRM, reporting, or workflow tools.
- Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficient with IM and video conferencing tools (Teams & Zoom).
