About the Role
An international television and streaming media house is building a cutting-edge, digital-first platform spanning a public website, mobile and smart-TV apps, live streaming, and internal newsroom tools. We are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to take full ownership of our React Native mobile application, oversee app store releases, and integrate new features as we prepare for a major platform launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Inherit the existing React Native codebase from our partner agency; operate, maintain, fix, and extend its capabilities.
- Own end-to-end releases, updates, code signing, and store management on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Integrate rich content feeds, push notifications, and high-performance live video streaming into the app.
- Collaborate remotely with the global engineering team and join onsite for launch week operations.
Requirements
- Production Mobile Delivery: Proven track record of personally shipping and maintaining at least two mobile apps in both the App Store and Google Play (across any stack).
- Codebase Inheritance: Ability to quickly pick up, analyze, and safely modify unfamiliar codebases (a React Native code-reading assessment will be conducted).
- Store & Release Ownership: Practical experience managing developer store accounts, signing keys, CI/CD pipelines, and app submission processes directly.
- Cross-Framework Fluency: Deep understanding of the technical trade-offs between React Native, Flutter, and native iOS/Android development.
