Senior Molding Process Engineer

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop, implement, and optimize thermoplastic injection molding and thermoset transfer molding processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Analyze process performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support new product introductions by developing robust molding processes and validating production readiness.
  • Utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) and data-driven methodologies to improve process capability and reduce variation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Operations teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and drive continuous improvement.
  • Generate and maintain documentation, work instructions, and engineering standards.
  • Support equipment qualifications, process validations, and engineering change activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to manufacturing personnel to strengthen process knowledge and operational performance.

Promote Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading molding process development and optimization in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of thermoplastic injection molding and/or thermoset transfer molding processes.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and use insights to drive process improvements.
  • Experience utilizing engineering software and technical tools to support process development.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience conducting Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical process analysis.
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software applications.
  • Training in scientific injection molding methodologies such as RJG or similar programs.
  • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement disciplines.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated, high-volume, or complex manufacturing operations.
