- Implement and maintain disaster-recovery strategies for both on-premises MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas deployments.
- Plan and execute failover, recovery, regional resiliency, and disaster-recovery tests.
- Work with stakeholders to define, validate, and maintain recovery time and recovery point objectives.
Backup and Recovery
- Design, implement, and operate enterprise MongoDB backup and recovery solutions for on-premises and MongoDB Atlas environments.
- Administer snapshot, continuous backup, point-in-time recovery, retention, restore, and recovery-validation processes using MongoDB-native and enterprise tooling.
- Conduct regular restore testing and support disaster-recovery exercises to verify recoverability.
Performance and Reliability
- Monitor database availability, capacity, health, replication, storage, and performance across on-premises and MongoDB Atlas environments.
- Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, aggregation pipelines, schema and data models, connection behavior, and database configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents, lead root-cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
- Drive database reliability, observability, capacity planning, and operational excellence initiatives.
Security and Compliance
- Implement MongoDB security controls, access-management standards, and least-privilege practices.
