Detailed Job Description:

As a Senior .NET / C# Backend & Data Services Developer at Neksogix in Lahore, you will take full ownership of end-to-end software development lifecycle activities, from analyzing existing codebases to implementing robust REST APIs, background services, and resilient distributed messaging workflows. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass writing optimized C# code, designing high-performance SQL Server stored procedures and database migrations, implementing Azure Service Bus messaging patterns, and ensuring robust error handling, retry logic, idempotency, and dead-letter queue strategies. You will utilize Entity Framework Core and Dapper, secure credentials with Azure Key Vault, conduct peer code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues across multiple microservices. Working in a fast-paced software development environment aligned with US operational hours, you will drive technical excellence and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend services and REST APIs utilizing C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Architect and optimize SQL Server database schemas, stored procedures, complex migrations, and high-performance queries.
• Implement distributed messaging architectures and message queue processing, preferably utilizing Azure Service Bus.
• Configure dependency injection, service lifetimes, hosted services, and background task execution engines.
• Design and enforce robust error handling, retry policies, idempotency mechanisms, and dead-letter queue strategies.
• Build efficient data access layers utilizing Entity Framework Core and/or Dapper ORM frameworks.
• Integrate cloud services, secure configurations, and secret management utilizing Azure Storage and Azure Key Vault.
• Execute rigorous production issue diagnosis, debugging, and log analysis across multiple distributed services.
• Enforce object-oriented programming principles, SOLID design patterns, clean architecture, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3+ years of professional software engineering experience specializing in C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core development.
• Strong technical proficiency and hands-on operational mastery of SQL Server design, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Extensive practical experience building REST APIs and scalable backend services in distributed system environments.
• Proven expertise with distributed messaging/queues (Azure Service Bus) and background processing services.
