Senior .NET Developer

Senior .NET Developer designing, coding, and maintaining web applications using .NET/C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript/jQuery, and HTML/CSS within a globally-distributed team at EPAM.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test and debug web applications to ensure high performance and reliability
  • Develop new features and enhancements on top of existing product offerings
  • Build new system components and integrate third-party products into the existing application framework as needed to meet business requirements
  • Follow development best practices and actively participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Perform development testing to ensure that implemented work matches expected requirements and quality benchmarks
  • Carefully review and analyze requirements during product backlog refinement and grooming meetings
  • Support and improve existing infrastructure to ensure system stability and scalability
  • Participate in pager duties to provide timely support and issue resolution

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in .NET/C# development
  • Superb JavaScript skills, including solid knowledge and practical experience with jQuery
  • Proficiency in CSS and HTML for building and styling responsive, user-friendly web interfaces
  • Significant experience working with the ASP.NET MVC pattern
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a large, globally-distributed development team
  • Excellent English language skills (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

  • Experience working with ASP.NET WebForms and/or transforming WebForms applications to MVC architecture
  • Some knowledge of Bootstrap for building responsive and mobile-first web design
  • Solid working knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data storage, retrieval, and management
  • Experience with LINQ for querying and manipulating data within .NET applications
