Senior .Net Full Stack Software Engineer (Developer)

• 12 + 12 + 12-month contract with a key Commonwealth government department

Resolve Recruit is seeking multiple experienced Senior .NET Full Stack Software Engineers to support the technology division of a key Commonwealth Government department.

As the division continues to deliver major legislative reporting and regulatory technology initiatives, these roles will provide additional senior engineering capability across a fast-moving, cloud-native environment.

You will develop and maintain Azure-based Web APIs, microservices and portal applications, working closely with architects, delivery leads and cross-functional Agile teams to build, secure and modernise systems supporting the department’s legislative and regulatory functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Azure-based web API, microservices and portal applications supporting legislative reporting and regulatory processes.
• Integrate system components to deliver a seamless end-to-end user experience.
• Apply secure coding, automated testing and DevSecOps practices to ensure robust, secure solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerised application delivery and cloud engineering using Azure DevOps, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply AI-enabled development practices to support code generation, testing, documentation and defect resolution.
• Collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams, mentoring team members and contributing to internal capability uplift.

Key Experience and Skills:

• Demonstrated experience designing, building and supporting secure full stack solutions across backend and frontend.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern .NET (8/10) and ASP.NET Web APIs, and REST API design (versioning, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2/OIDC).
• Experience developing web applications using Angular or React.
• Hands-on Azure delivery/operations (App Services/Functions, Azure SQL, Service Bus/Event Grid, API Management), CI/CD (Azure DevOps), containerisation (Docker) and Kubernetes deployment concepts.
• Experience with event-driven integration and data platforms (SQL Server/Azure SQL, Blob Storage, caching), including high-volume processing.
• Tertiary qualifications in software engineering (or equivalent experience); experience with AI-enabled development practices highly regarded.
