Senior .Net Software Engineer - 3603446 (Wilmington, DE)

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior .Net Software Engineer position! This is a 12-18 month contract and will be hybrid on site 4 days per week in Wilmington, DE. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the execution of approved Loan IQ integrations architecture, translating design documents and architecture diagrams into production-ready implementations with minimal oversight
• Drive platform modernization initiatives by replacing direct SQL-based integrations with API-driven solutions and refactoring existing integrations to improve resiliency, observability, and scalability
• Design and develop modularized, reusable integration services that separate client-specific logic, data access layers, and cross-cutting concerns across the payment processing platform
• Support BAU operations including system monitoring, incident management, release coordination, and troubleshooting across downstream system integrations
• Implement robust logging, error handling, and monitoring frameworks to enhance root-cause analysis and operational support capabilities
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, builds, and deployments while ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and auditability standards
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to development team members, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate technical progress, identify implementation risks and design gaps, and propose pragmatic solutions for complex integration challenges

What You'll Need to Have:

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience executing architecture-driven integration transformations in enterprise environments (10+ years overall preferred)
• Deep expertise in .NET Core/modern .NET development with proven experience building fullstack web applications using C#, .NET MVC, and Entity Framework Core
• Strong proficiency with integration patterns and technologies including RESTful APIs, SOAP/XQuery-based APIs, and file-based integrations (SFTP, batch processing)
• Solid understanding of payment processing flows, transactional system behavior, and data modeling in distributed enterprise systems
• Demonstrated experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases, including complex SQL scripting and database design
• Proven ability to implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling frameworks in production environments with minimal supervision
• Experience with Angular, SSO authentication, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies
• Background in cloud or hybrid architectures, financial services, or banking technology environments is strongly preferred

Pay Range: $80-85/hr
