Senior .Net Software Engineer

Open 47d posting dated 3 days ago

Summary

Senior .NET engineer building cloud-native, event-driven systems in C#/.NET 8 with AWS, focusing on scalable microservices, TDD, and end-to-end delivery.

At Mindera, we don’t just "write code."

We build products we are proud of, with people we love. Software Engineering Applications, including Web and Mobile, are at the core of what we do. We partner with our clients to deliver high-performance, resilient, and scalable systems that impact users and businesses worldwide.

We are a collection of individuals with different stories, but one shared goal: to build a place where we actually want to work. We value empathy, self-organization, and the courage to take risks. If you love solving complex problems and believe that teaching others is the best way to learn, you’ll feel right at home here.

The Role & The Challenge

We are looking for seasoned Senior .NET Developers who thrive in complex engineering environments, enjoy solving challenging technical problems, and take ownership of the software they build.

Reliability and quality are fundamental to our platform, so we're seeking product-minded engineers with proven experience in cloud-native distributed systems and a strong sense of ownership throughout the software development lifecycle.

In this role, you'll be expected to contribute to architectural decisions, clearly articulate the trade-offs behind your technical choices, and take features from business refinement through implementation, deployment, and production monitoring. You'll work with modern engineering practices to build decoupled, maintainable systems that scale reliably in production.

Your role goes beyond writing C# code. You are expected to own the delivery pipeline end to end:

  • Refinement: Challenge ambiguous business requirements, analyze acceptance criteria, and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Architecture: Design decoupled, scalable solutions using Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) patterns.
  • Execution: Write highly concurrent, thread-safe applications using .NET 8 or later, with a strong preference for composition over inheritance.
  • Verification: Treat Test-Driven Development (TDD) as an essential engineering practice by writing robust unit and integration tests using xUnit and WireMock to prevent regressions.
  • Delivery & Operations: Deploy through modern CI/CD pipelines and proactively monitor production telemetry using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, and GitHub Actions to ensure rapid troubleshooting and operational excellence.

The Tech Stack

  • Core: C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core
  • Architecture: Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Distributed Systems
  • Cloud & Messaging: AWS (ECS, EC2, SQS, SNS, S3)
  • Databases & Caching: SQL, NoSQL, Redis, Valkey, DynamoDB
  • Infrastructure & CI/CD: Terraform, GitHub Actions, TeamCity
  • Quality Assurance: xUnit, WireMock, SpecFlow

Requirements

You’ll be a Great Fit If...

  • Engineering Seniority: Solid experience designing and deploying complex, high-throughput backend systems using .NET.
  • Cloud-Native Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with AWS, particularly containerized workloads (ECS/EC2) and messaging services (SQS/SNS).
  • System Design Mastery: Strong understanding of SOLID principles, dependency injection lifetimes, and the ASP.NET Core middleware pipeline.
  • Concurrency Discipline: Expert knowledge of asynchronous programming in C#. You understand how the thread pool works and why synchronous blocking (for example, using `.Result` or `.Wait()`) can severely impact the scalability and reliability of web APIs.
  • API Design: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, idempotent operations, and global exception-handling strategies.
  • Communication: Advanced or fluent English, with the ability to clearly communicate architectural decisions and technical trade-offs to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

It’s a Total Bonus If...

  • Production experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
  • Practical experience with LLMs and Generative AI using .NET or Python, particularly for AI-assisted engineering workflows and SDLC automation.
