Senior Netskope Engineer (8+ Years Experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Netskope Engineer to lead the engineering, optimization, and governance of enterprise Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities.
The successful candidate will drive security transformation initiatives, enhance data protection controls, improve policy effectiveness, and support emerging AI security use cases while ensuring secure access to applications, users, and data across cloud and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
Netskope Security Engineering
• Design, implement, and optimize Netskope SWG, CASB, DLP, Cloud Firewall, and Private Access controls.
• Lead policy engineering initiatives including DLP rule development, false-positive reduction, policy tuning, and regional policy deployments.
• Design and implement secure access policies aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Perform impact assessments for Netskope platform updates, releases, and feature enhancements.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Drive peer-reviewed change management processes, including testing, approval, rollback planning, and deployment governance.
• Develop and maintain policy standards, design documentation, and security baselines.
• Lead policy hygiene, optimization, and control effectiveness reviews.
• Provide recommendations to strengthen cloud security posture and reduce risk exposure.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
• Implement automation using native Netskope capabilities and approved enterprise workflows.
• Develop repeatable operational processes to improve service quality and reduce manual effort.
• Drive continuous service improvement initiatives across SASE and DLP platforms.
• Support operational metrics and engineering performance reporting.
Integrations & Security Ecosystem
• Lead troubleshooting and enhancement of integrations with:
o ServiceNow
o CrowdStrike Falcon
o Identity providers (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID)
o Security monitoring and SOC platforms
• Support API integration troubleshooting and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with Security Operations teams on incident response improvements.
AI Security & Emerging Technologies
• Implement and govern AI security controls for AI agents and non-human identities.
• Support AI DLP controls, AI detection tuning, and AI security monitoring.
• Implement governance controls for AI agent operating modes, lifecycle management, and agent security policies.
• Drive engineering improvements for AI detection and response capabilities within existing platforms.
Technical Leadership
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex Netskope issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
• Participate in architecture reviews and strategic security initiatives.
• Contribute to roadmap planning and platform evolution.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Network Security, or Cloud Security.
• 5+ years of hands-on Netskope administration and engineering experience.
• Strong experience with SASE, SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP, and Cloud Firewall technologies.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust and data protection controls.
• Experience with enterprise change management and policy governance.
• Strong understanding of cloud security architectures and SaaS security controls.
• Experience with ServiceNow, CrowdStrike, and enterprise security integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Netskope Certified Cloud Security Administrator (NCCSA)
• Netskope Certified Cloud Security Integrator (NCCSI)
• CISSP, CCSP, or CISM
• Experience with AI security controls and non-human identity governance
• Experience working within global enterprise environments
