Altitude is seeking a Senior Network and Security Engineer for a MSP in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions provider located in Docklands.

Take full ownership of a high profile F5 BIG IP migration for a critical infrastructure organisation, working across the entire delivery lifecycle from discovery through design, build, cutover and operational handover. This is a genuine security uplift engagement, not a lift and shift, offering the opportunity to lead a technically complex program with real visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery and assessment of an existing physical BIG IP estate across multiple isolated security zones, and document the current state architecture
• Develop High Level and Low Level Designs for a target BIG IP Virtual Edition platform, and build isolated, highly available pairs on VMware ESXi
• Migrate LTM configuration including virtual servers, pools, monitors, iRules, traffic policies, SSL profiles and certificates, and manage network and security integration across zones
• Plan and execute production cutovers during scheduled after hours windows, with rollback readiness and contingency procedures at every stage
• Implement BIG IP APM and ASM or Advanced WAF to uplift a legacy application, covering identity aware authentication, MFA and SSO, and OWASP Top 10 protection.

Key Requirements:

• Deep, hands on F5 BIG IP engineering experience, with LTM essential and APM and ASM or Advanced WAF highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience migrating physical BIG IP appliances (ideally vCMP based) to BIG IP Virtual Edition
• Strong VMware vSphere and ESXi skills, including distributed switching and the networking requirements of virtual appliances
• Solid core networking knowledge across L2 or L3, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS and SSL or TLS with certificate lifecycle management
• Intermediate to expert firewall engineering skills across Cisco and Palo Alto platforms, along with strong documentation ability and availability for scheduled after hours change windows.
