We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Automation & Platform Engineer to support the automation, optimisation, and ongoing evolution of complex network and platform environments. This role will focus on developing scalable automation solutions, improving platform reliability, and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. Working across networking, Linux, cloud, and DevOps disciplines, you will drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enable modern infrastructure delivery practices. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Please note that strong Networking and Automation experience will be essential for the role.
Your day at NTT
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability across network and platform environments.
- Develop and maintain Python and Shell scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and reporting processes.
- Deploy, manage, and support cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery frameworks using modern DevOps tools and practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver platform enhancement initiatives.
- Produce technical documentation, establish operational standards, and provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams.
What would make you a good fit for this role?
- Strong networking knowledge, including routing, switching, network protocols, troubleshooting, and enterprise or service provider networking environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing automation solutions using Python, Shell scripting, and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and a solid understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and identity management concepts.
- Proven experience working with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub, version control best practices, and CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across multiple technology domains and drive continuous improvement outcomes.
