Senior Network Engineer

For an international organization in Lisbon, Portugal, we are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco Nexus/NX-OS, IOS/IOS-XE, Catalyst Center, Cisco Wireless and Network Access Control (NAC).

You will combine day-to-day network operations with a major network infrastructure transformation, acting as the senior technical lead and ensuring changes are implemented safely while maintaining operational stability.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite in Lisbon.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the network environment and troubleshoot issues across wired, wireless, access and core networks;
  
• Investigate and resolve network incidents, including NAC and authentication-related issues;
  
• Lead the replacement of legacy Cisco switches with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS;
  
• Support the implementation of a new Cisco wireless environment, NAC and Catalyst Center;
  
• Plan and execute network changes, upgrades and ad hoc fixes while maintaining operational stability;
  
• Improve network monitoring, observability, configuration management and automation;
  
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbook.
  

Profile

• Master's degree and 8+ years of IT experience;
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus/NX-OS and IOS/IOS-XE;
  
• Experience with network switch upgrades and replacements;
  
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center;
  
• Experience implementing Cisco wireless networks;
  
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC), 802.1X, RADIUS and ISE;
  
• Strong experience with network operations and change management;
  
• Comfortable working with network monitoring and observability.
