Senior Network Engineer

NewBe an early applicant

On behalf of our large multinational client, we offer a great opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to take the lead on a project to overhauling its network from a site-led setup to a standards-based, globally governed model.

This is a doer's role: greenfield project delivery (new site build, acquisition integration, and new Azure landing zone), hands-on build work, L3 escalation.

The role:

  • Build, configure and deploy network solutions – firewalls, routing/switching, wireless, and (over time) SASE
  • Deliver project work including a greenfield site build, integration of a newly acquired organisation, and new landing zone.
  • Provide network specialist direction to remote-site technicians who don't carry deep networking expertise – including underground and OT-related switching.
  • Help establish network standards, documentation (network/design diagrams) and change management rigour
  • Be comfortable finding your own way around an undocumented, non-standardised environment where practices differ site to site

You'll need:

  • Hands-on Palo Alto Firewall config and management — essential
  • Solid routing/switching fundamentals: OSPF, BGP, VRFs
  • Aruba wireless, HPE Aruba and Cisco switching
  • Comfort working with ambiguity in a low-documentation environment

Bonus:

  • Prisma Access (SASE)
  • VXLAN
  • MSTP/OT switching
  • Azure exposure
  • mining or other remote-site industry experience
