Summary: This role focuses on providing technical leadership and guidance for a team of Network Engineers within the Campus WAN area, ensuring operational efficiency and handling major incidents effectively.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the activities of Network Engineers in the Campus WAN area.
Manage the operational aspects of network services, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco ASR/ISR routers, using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
Act as Technical Lead for major incidents, with 24/7 on-call availability.
Oversee Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
Handle Event, Availability, Capacity, Vulnerability, and CMDB Management.
Involve in network planning, design, architecture, installation, and configuration of components.
Optimize network performance and ensure quality assurance of configurations.
Document processes according to guidelines.
Must Haves:
Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise (or equivalent)
Experience with Cisco ASR/ISR routers
Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS protocols
Leadership experience, especially with nearshore teams
Fluent in English
Nice to Have:
Cisco SD-WAN Specialist certification
Knowledge of ITIL practices
Fluency in German
Experience with Ansible/Python and CheckMK
