Senior Network Engineer - CCNA or CCNP (BGC Taguig) | Onsite
Work Setup: Onsite (BGC Taguig)
Work Schedule: Flexible with mid or night shift schedule
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 4 years of hands on networking experience (i.e. firewalls, routing, and switching)
- Expertise with CISCO Devices
- Strong leadership skills, a passion for quality, and a demonstrated ability to take ownership and accomplish challenging goals
- A customer-service mindset and ability to work in a diverse environment with clients and IT teams globally
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, telecommunications, and cloud technologies
- Experience in Incident Management and managing LAN & WAN networks
- Familiarity with Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
- Proficiency in troubleshooting IT setups
- Mandatory Certifications (active or has recently expired):
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Must be amenable to working in shifting schedules
- Must be able to work onsite at BGC Taguig – US Shifts
- Immediate start preferred
Experience in at least 3 of the following:
- Cisco ASA
- Cisco Firepower
- IPS
- Routers & Switches
- Cisco AnyConnect
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and initiate procurement, including BOM creation.
- Service Transition: Manage technology migrations and upgrades for seamless IT service transitions.
- Service Delivery & Support: Assist teams in troubleshooting 2nd-level incidents and service requests, ensuring service compliance.
- Availability & Continuity: Perform backups, check redundancies, and monitor capacity to maintain IT service availability.
- Service Level Management: Handle escalations, prepare reports, and coordinate with providers to meet SLAs.
- Supplier Management: Engage with vendors to resolve escalations and improve support quality.
- Security Management: Implement corrective actions based on security alerts to maintain compliance.
- Incident & Problem Management: Manage requests, perform root cause analysis, and ensure SLA adherence.
- Change & Release Management: Document and execute changes in CMDB and manage release schedules.
- Service Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to boost service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Communication: Provide regular updates on service status, maintenance, and support.
- Talent Management: Engage in training and certification to develop technical and soft skills.
- Knowledge Management: Develop self-help resources like documentation and FAQs.
- IT Asset Management: Collaborate to manage IT assets lifecycle in compliance with policies.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to QA processes and address audit feedback.
- Business Continuity: Participate in BCMS drills and reporting to comply with continuity plans.
- Organizational Initiatives: Support IT infrastructure for departmental and organizational projects.
