Senior Network Engineer – Enterprise & Operational Technology

• Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension
• Perth-based | Monday to Friday | 40-hour work week with travel to Pilbara sites
• Supporting enterprise and operational technology (OT) network environments
• End-to-end project delivery across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless, LTE/5G, Satellite, and OT networking

About the Role

Green Light Worldwide is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support a major enterprise network program across corporate and operational technology environments.

This is a hands-on delivery role responsible for the complete lifecycle of network implementations—from intake and solution design through to build, testing, deployment, and operational handover.
You'll work across multiple networking technologies while collaborating with vendors, project teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable network solutions across metropolitan and remote operational sites.

Regular travel to regional operational sites within the Pilbara will form part of this position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end network implementation activities including intake, triage, design, build, testing, and deployment
• Develop Low Level Designs (LLDs) and supporting technical documentation
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BoMs) for infrastructure deployments
• Configure and support enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and MPLS environments
• Deploy and support wireless, SOHO, LTE/5G, RF, and satellite connectivity solutions
• Support operational technology (OT) and industrial networking environments
• Coordinate network implementation activities with internal teams, vendors, and field personnel
• Perform onsite commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation activities
• Triage security and firewall-related issues and coordinate with specialist security teams where required

Requirements

• Extensive experience delivering enterprise network infrastructure projects
• Strong hands-on experience across:
• LAN (Switching & VLANs)
• WAN, SD-WAN & MPLS
• Wireless & SOHO networking
• LTE, 5G & RF technologies
• Satellite and remote connectivity
• OT / Industrial networking environments
  • Experience producing Low Level Designs (LLDs) and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across multi-vendor networking environments
  • Experience engaging with vendors and coordinating technical project delivery
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Willingness to travel to regional operational sites as required

Highly Desirable

• Previous experience within mining, resources, industrial, or operational technology environments
• Exposure to industrial production or operational systems (OT/ProdSys)
• Experience coordinating security and firewall activities with dedicated security teams
