Senior Network Engineer

Salary: £75,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience supporting highly available enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid-cloud networking.
• Strong understanding of network security.
• Experience with ITIL-based incident, problem and change management.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
• Cisco, Juniper, Azure, AWS, OCI, VMware or relevant networking certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and support complex enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, routing and switching.
• Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, load balancers and network security solutions.
• Provide 3rd line / Level 3 support and resolve complex network incidents.
• Monitor network performance, capacity and availability.
• Support network security, segmentation and Zero Trust initiatives.
• Design and support Azure, AWS and/or OCI cloud connectivity.
• Lead network upgrades, migrations and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Work with vendors, managed service providers and internal IT teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers.

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a leading organisation in a permanent position. This is a London-based hybrid role with a salary of up to £80,000 plus a strong benefits package. We are looking for a technically strong Network Engineer with experience across enterprise networking, network security and cloud or hybrid infrastructure, and sector experience is not essential if you have the right technical skills and experience. The position starts as soon as possible.
