Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with expertise in managing firewall systems, specifically with Check Point and Fortinet products. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional technical leadership, operational management skills, and proficiency in firewall configurations, troubleshooting, and compliance adherence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Configuring and managing firewall settings.

  • Optimizing firewall performance.

  • Conducting continuous monitoring and analysis.

  • Testing and validating firewall configurations.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Performing quality assurance and troubleshooting based on FI-TS processes.

  • Implementing changes following established processes.

  • Documenting configurations according to guidelines.

Key Requirements:

  • Check Point CCSE certification or higher.

  • Fortinet NSE 4 certification or higher.

  • Preferred knowledge of ITIL.

  • Experience in technical leadership and mentoring, particularly with nearshore teams.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.

  • Desirable knowledge of Ansible/Python and CheckMK.

Other Details

This position will provide operational responsibility within RUN, focusing on configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. Candidates should be prepared for on-call availability and must possess strong leadership capabilities to guide the Network Engineers in firewall operations.
