Senior Network Security Engineer

Location: Perth, WA (Perth-based candidates only)
⏳ Contract Length: Initial 6-month contract
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to lead and support a large-scale enterprise firewall migration project. This is an exciting opportunity to join a complex transformation program involving the migration from Check Point to Cisco Secure Firewall across a multi-site environment.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience delivering similar network security and firewall migration initiatives within large enterprise organisations and will act as a key technical authority throughout the implementation and migration lifecycle.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience with Cisco Networking, Cisco Secure Firewall, and Firepower Management Centre (FMC)
• Proven expertise in Check Point Firewalls and SmartConsole
• Experience designing and supporting multi-site network security architectures
• Demonstrated capability to act as an implementation and migration authority on large-scale security transformation projects
• Strong firewall policy management skills, including:
  • Rule consolidation
  • Rule reviews
  • Policy optimisation and rationalisation
• Hands-on, end-to-end experience delivering Check Point to Cisco Secure Firewall migrations
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and critical infrastructure

• Previous experience leading or delivering enterprise-scale firewall migration programs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional infrastructure and security teams
