Senior Network Engineer
About the role
The Senior Network Engineer Lead is responsible for the architecture, engineering, implementation, and support of the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable network services. The role supports strategic initiatives such as SD-WAN, Zscaler, and future network transformation programs, drives continuous network improvements, and serves as a key technical contact for regional teams and the NOC.
Key responsibilities
Design, architect, implement, and support enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, security, and cloud connectivity environments.
Lead the planning and delivery of network transformation initiatives, including SD-WAN, Zscaler, cloud networking, and future infrastructure modernization projects.
Develop network architecture, technical designs, standards, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
Manage network lifecycle activities, including platform upgrades, technology refreshes, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
Provide Level 3 technical expertise for complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
Collaborate with regional teams, project stakeholders, vendors, and the NOC to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with network security, governance, and change management standards.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and architectural solutions to support evolving business and operational requirements.
About you
Proven hands-on network operation and engineering experience
Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
Strong knowledge in network design including routing, switching and security
Experience in enterprise network architecture planning or design concepts such as network segmentation or network segregation
Experience managing SDWAN and SASE Solution (E.g. Fortinet SDWAN & Zscaler), Firewall and Load Balancers
Knowledge of ITIL framework and principles
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
At least 10 to 15 years of experience in Network Infrastructure operation, design and build, project implementation and delivery
Proven operation experience in managing Network and security operation
Experience in managing network components like SDWAN, Firewall, SASE, Load Balancers, DNS, Wifi, Cisco ISE, Solarwinds, Logic Monitor is essential
Professional certification such as CCIE and/or CISSP or GSEC
University degree in Computer Science or a related subject
