Summary
On-site Senior Network Engineer at Travco Properties in Marsa Matruh, Egypt, installing and maintaining LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, fiber-optic and structured cabling, IP CCTV/access control, and data center infrastructure across company sites and projects. · Install, configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN, switches, routers, wireless networks, and other active and passive network infrastructure in accordance with approved designs and technical standards.
· Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of fiber-optic telecommunication and data networks, ensuring connectivity and performance requirements are achieved.
· Monitor network availability, utilization, and performance; troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, software, and network-related incidents; and implement corrective actions to minimize service disruption.
· Support Wi-Fi infrastructure, structured cabling, internet connectivity, and related installations across company locations, sales centers, residential units, and project facilities.
· Provide technical support for IP CCTV, access control, and related network-connected systems, including cabling, fiber connectivity, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
· Coordinate network installation activities with consultants, contractors, suppliers, service providers, and internal engineering teams, and follow up on implementation progress and technical requirements.
· Support the review of network designs, technical drawings, equipment specifications, and proposed solutions to ensure compatibility with operational requirements and approved standards.
· Support data center infrastructure preparation and network equipment installation, configuration, testing, replacement, and preventive maintenance.· Conduct technical inspections and testing of passive and active network infrastructure, identify deficiencies, follow up on corrective actions, and support final commissioning and handover.· Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, equipment records, incident logs, testing documentation, and technical reports covering infrastructure availability, performance, utilization, and project progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in network engineering, network infrastructure, or IT infrastructure.
- CCNA – CCNP - Fiber-optic, structured cabling, or network security an advantage
- Communication skills - Analytical skills.
- Fluency in English
