Senior Network Engineer | Leading Trading Firm | Hong Kong (Relocation Available)

A well-established global trading firm is growing its infrastructure team in Hong Kong. You’d help design, build and run the low-latency networks behind its trading, where every microsecond counts and reliability is non-negotiable.

You’ll work on

1. Designing and building low-latency networks across exchange colocation sites and Asian datacentres
2. Running and improving market data distribution and exchange connectivity, including multicast feeds
3. Managing a large international WAN that links trading sites across the region and globally
4. Automating network builds and changes, and improving monitoring, latency measurement and capacity planning
5. Working closely with traders, developers and engineering teams to turn business needs into fast, reliable infrastructure

This is for you if

1. You have extensive experience as a senior network engineer at a trading firm, hedge fund, exchange or bank trading desk
2. You have hands-on experience with low-latency network design and optimisation in a production trading environment
3. You have deep knowledge of routing, switching and multicast (BGP, OSPF, PIM), and of how market data flows
4. You’re comfortable with network automation, scripting (e.g. Python) and config management
5. You’ve worked with firewalls, network security, and WANs that span several regions

Bonus: experience with exchange colocation and cross-connects, precision time (PTP), packet capture and latency analysis tools, ultra-low-latency switching, or Mandarin, Cantonese or another Asian language.
