Role Description
VIS Global is looking for multiple Senior Network Engineers to join our team in Sydney, NSW. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures to support enterprise communication and customer experience platforms. Day-to-day tasks include managing network performance, troubleshooting issues, enhancing network security, and optimizing architecture for reliability and scalability. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting project delivery, documenting configurations, and providing expert guidance on best practices for network design and operations. The engineer will also participate in capacity planning, incident response, and continuous improvement of network-related processes. Proven experience as an IP Network Engineer within telecommunications, service provider, or large enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of IP networking technologies and routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6.
Strong experience in the design, implementation, and deployment of carrier-grade or mobile core IP networks.
Strong IP/MPLS design, implementation, and troubleshooting capability.
Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with BGP routing in carrier or enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex, multi-vendor networking environments.
Strong understanding of routing, switching, redundancy, and high-availability network architectures.
Experience with data centre networking technologies, including Cisco ACI and EVPN-VXLAN.
Experience managing enterprise security platforms such as Fortinet, Check Point, F5, or equivalent.
Exposure to network automation and scripting using tools such as Python, Ansible, NetBox, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of cloud networking concepts across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with telecommunications operational environments and industry best practices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and business teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
certifications such as CCIE ,CCNA,CCDP,CCNP, JNCIP/JNCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent will be considered advantageous.
