Senior Network Engineer

This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based environments. The Network Engineer works with clients to build new solutions, troubleshoot escalated critical issues, and maintain network configurations. The individual is skilled in a wide range of networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and WAN/VPN solutions.

This role will contribute to the execution of complex networking projects, from requirements gathering through completion, and is expected to provide expert-level consultation on network design and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-class network solutions for small to mid-sized businesses, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with project leads and project managers to deliver solutions within scope and defined milestones.
• Perform wireless site surveys and implement secure wireless network solutions.
• Architect, configure, and support advanced routing and switching using Cisco, Meraki, HP/Aruba, Palo Alto and other enterprise platforms.
• Deploy and manage next-generation firewalls and VPN solutions, including SonicWALL, Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, Azure S2S, and Cisco ASA.
• Provide escalation support to internal teams and assist with diagnosing and resolving critical infrastructure issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including complex Visio diagrams and client network documentation.
• Adhere to and improve XPERTECHS’ network design and implementation standards for clients.
• Participate in training and certification programs to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
