- Design, implement, administer, and provide operational support for network and data centre infrastructure.
- Perform network configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimisation to ensure high availability and performance.
- Manage and support network infrastructure including Cisco/Aruba network devices and Cisco ACI.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing and network technologies including TCP/IP, IPsec, VRRP, HSRP, SNMP, NAT, Multicast, Subnetting, Ethernet, and Access Control Lists.
- Manage and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, and MPLS.
- Administer and support network security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, authentication servers, and other security devices.
- Perform administration and support of network security platforms such as Check Point, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and health proactively, and implement corrective actions to maintain service levels.
- Perform network and infrastructure changes in accordance with approved change management procedures.
- Plan and execute hardware, firmware, and software upgrades, security patches, and infrastructure refresh activities.
- Perform backup and recovery activities, including high availability and failover configuration, to meet required RTO and RPO.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activities, including testing, failover, and recovery exercises.
- Provide 24x7 operations support, including scheduled on-call and after-hours emergency support when required.
- Investigate and troubleshoot incidents within the required response timeframe and work towards timely resolution and root-cause identification.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, operational procedures, and system manuals.
- Manage network-related projects, including infrastructure upgrades, new deployments, migrations, and technology refreshes.
- Work closely with internal teams, customers, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues and deliver infrastructure projects.
- Manage vendors and contractors to ensure project implementation meets technical requirements, agreed timelines, and service levels.
- Review infrastructure requirements, technical solutions, risks, migration plans, and capacity requirements for new projects.
- Support RFQ/RFP preparation by providing technical specifications, architecture information, and network requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve network monitoring, operational processes, automation, and overall infrastructure efficiency.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in network engineering, network administration, infrastructure support, or data centre environment.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and maintaining Cisco/Aruba network devices and/or Cisco ACI.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies including TCP/IP, IPsec, VRRP, HSRP, SNMP, NAT, Multicast, Subnetting, Ethernet, and Access Control Lists.
- Good working knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience with network security devices such as Check Point, Cisco Firepower, Fortinet, or Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience with VPN, authentication servers, DNS, proxy, F5 Load Balancers, Infoblox, and network management platforms will be advantageous.
- Experience in network monitoring, performance management, capacity planning, and availability management.
- Good knowledge of backup/recovery, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
- Experience managing network-related projects and vendors, including RFQ/RFP preparation, implementation, and project coordination.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of ITIL and change management processes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Meticulous, proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.
- Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call support and after-hours emergency support when required.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP or higher are preferred. CCIE, CDCP, CISSP, or ITIL certifications will be advantageous.
Candidates with less than 5 years of relevant experience will not be considered.
Working Hours:
9:00am to 6:00pm (Mondays to Fridays)
24x7 on-call support may be required based on operational requirements.
