Senior Occupational Therapist

Location: Jurong West Day Care Centre
5 days, 8.30am to 6pm

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at a Senior Day Rehabilitation Centre. The successful candidate will lead the planning and delivery of occupational therapy services to elderly clients, supporting their independence and enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients’ physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and functional abilities.
  • Plan and implement individualised, goal-oriented occupational therapy interventions.
  • Conduct home assessments and recommend environmental modifications to promote safety and independence.
  • Fabricate, prescribe, or recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in line with professional and organisational standards.
  • Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary meetings, and care planning.
  • Educate clients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation goals, strategies, and maintenance of function.
  • Contribute to community outreach and health promotion activities.
  • Lead complex case management and provide clinical supervision or mentoring to junior therapists, therapy assistants, and students.
  • Conduct clinical audits and contribute to quality improvement or service development projects.
  • Lead or participate in research, innovation, or programme evaluation initiatives.
  • Provide professional input in policy development and service planning.
  • Serve as a resource person for best practices and evidence-based interventions in community rehabilitation.
  • Participate in internal training
  • To provide service to various settings (eg. Home Rehab, CR, CH, NH) as deemed competent

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for working with older adults and promoting active, independent living.
