Specific Accountabilities:
The Senior Onboarding Specialist owns the day-to-day delivery of Deli/Bakery Centralized Training and assigned Orientation sessions, along with the detailed execution of new-hire and key-position training placements. This role serves as the primary Specialist-level escalation point for complex onboarding delivery issues and partners closely with the Learning Coordinator, Learning Specialist, and store leadership to ensure onboarding is completed accurately, on time, and in a manner consistent with Busch's culture and operational standards.
Training Delivery & Orientation
· Own and facilitate Deli/Bakery Centralized Training, including preparation, rosters, attendee communication, operational accuracy, food-safety alignment, and continuous improvement recommendations.
· Conduct assigned Orientation sessions in multiple locations and provide a consistent introduction to Busch's mission, culture, values, expectations, benefits, and learning resources.
· Maintain fluency in Cashier Centralized Training and the Onboarding Specialist role to provide vacation, absence, and temporary coverage.
Ticketing System & Timekeeping Administration
· Review the Learning & Development Ticketing System daily, assign or claim requests that fall within this role's responsibilities, complete or coordinate the required work, and maintain timely, accurate ticket updates through resolution. Collaborate on cross-functional requests without assuming routine ownership of work assigned to another role.
· Own Ticketing System requests related to approved new-hire training-placement scheduling and follow-through, Deli/Bakery Centralized Training, assigned Orientation, 30/60/90-day training-plan follow-up, onboarding-completion issues, and related session timekeeping.
· Own all timekeeping and punch entry/corrections for new hires attending assigned Orientation and Centralized Training sessions; escalate unresolved exceptions to the Learning Coordinator.
Training Placement & Follow-Up
· After the Learning Coordinator confirms the training store, mentor, hours, and overall placement parameters, own the detailed execution of leadership/key-position training placements: build the training schedule, coordinate dates with the associate/home store/training store/mentor, distribute the finalized plan, maintain documentation, make routine scheduling adjustments, track progress, and escalate significant placement or mentor issues back to the Learning Coordinator.
· Own 30/60/90-day training-plan follow-up for designated new hires and key positions, including completion checks, store follow-up, documentation, and escalation of recurring barriers.
· Partner with the Learning Coordinator on placement decisions, training-hour issues, and exceptions while retaining responsibility for routine placement scheduling, administration, documentation, and follow-through.
Onboarding Performance & Escalation
· Lead operational follow-up on onboarding learning-plan and assessment completion; identify associates or departments falling behind and partner with store leadership to resolve gaps.
· Review onboarding trends, training-hour usage, assessment results, and recurring exceptions and provide recommendations to the Learning Coordinator, Learning Specialist, and Director.
· Serve as the primary Specialist-level escalation point for complex onboarding delivery issues requiring strong operational judgment, critical thinking, and cross-functional coordination.
Training Materials & Special Projects
· Maintain Deli/Bakery CT materials and provide operational feedback to the Learning Specialist and subject matter experts when learning materials, assessments, or processes require revision.
· Support special projects, field trips, experiential learning, community events, and other People & Learning initiatives when core onboarding responsibilities allow.
