Senior Ontology Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Knowledge, Ontology & Semantic Modeler with 6-8+ years of experience in ontology engineering, semantic modeling, knowledge graph development, or enterprise data architecture. The candidate will be responsible for designing enterprise ontologies, taxonomies, semantic models, and knowledge graphs to establish consistent business meaning across multiple data sources.

The role involves defining business concepts, entities, relationships, hierarchies, rules, and metrics; developing semantic mappings between source data, canonical models, and business ontologies; and implementing entity resolution, semantic enrichment, and ontology alignment.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, SPARQL, JSON-LD, and SHACL, along with experience in graph databases such as Neo4j, GraphDB, or Amazon Neptune.

The role also involves building semantic layers for business queries, knowledge retrieval, and AI applications; establishing semantic governance, validation, lineage, and version management; and collaborating with business and technical teams to create reusable semantic models. Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, Graph RAG, hybrid retrieval, Python, metadata management, and semantic web libraries will be an added advantage.
