Senior Oracle Database Administrator - DOE Enterprise IT Support

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide database administration support for Oracle Portal, Oracle Hyperion, Oracle EBS, and core databases supporting DOE applications.
- Install, configure, and administer Oracle 26 AI across production and development environments.
- Design, configure, and support Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO), Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and UCM.
- Perform Oracle Fusion Middleware installations, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Perform database performance analysis, monitoring, capacity planning, system sizing, and ongoing maintenance.
- Develop and implement database security, backup, recovery, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor database availability, storage capacity, system health, and performance and proactively remediate issues.
- Provide break/fix support, resolve production defects, and implement system stabilization changes.
- Support remediation of cybersecurity findings and provide technical input for annual Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
- Maintain system documentation, baseline configurations, SOPs, installation and upgrade documentation, security records, and event logs.
- Review Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) and coordinate testing and implementation across applicable environments.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of relevant Oracle experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; 9–10 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong experience with Oracle Federal Financials and Oracle Hyperion.
- Significant hands-on database administration experience supporting Oracle OID, OAM, and SSO.
- Experience supporting Oracle Portal and Hyperion implementations preferred.
- Strong understanding of Oracle databases, utilities, and administration tools.
- Strong experience with database performance tuning and monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle backup, recovery, security, and data integrity.
- Knowledge of load balancers, storage, and cloud environments.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and IIS.
- Experience with code migration, database change management, and data management throughout the development lifecycle.
Additional Information:
- U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
- This role is fully remote. Accessing DOE Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) or logging into the DOE network from outside the United States is strictly prohibited without proper authorization.
Desired Skills:
- Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud Professional certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow for incident, problem, and service request management.
- Previous Department of Energy (DOE) experience.
- Ability to analyze business and functional requirements and recommend optimal technical solutions.
