  • Work Model: Hybrid (1 day remote / 4 days office) – working from the office in Gdańsk or Warsaw

The Client: A major enterprise in the banking industry. You will be joining their core continuous service project to ensure the high availability, integrity, and performance of business-critical, Oracle-based applications.

The Role: We are looking for a highly independent, problem-solving Senior DBA with a decade of experience. You will take charge of enabling new features across the client's environments, handling everything from implementation and integrity testing to post-rollout troubleshooting and immediate rollback execution for mission-critical systems.

Expectations & Tech Stack:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience managing Oracle Databases (12c to 19c), heavily focused on RAC and Data Guard.

  • Core Tech: Deep, hands-on experience in a production RAC (ASM) 19c environment.

  • Tools: Mastery of Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data Pump), Oracle GoldenGate (OGG Microservices, downstream databases), and OEM architecture.

  • OS & Infrastructure: Solid Linux/Unix OS experience (managing processes, load, daemons) and a good understanding of storage.

  • Problem Solving: Strong background in FSFO (Fast-Start Failover) problem solving, observers, and handling various Data Guard / RAC Disaster Recovery issues.

  • Processes: Familiarity with Change and Incident management, Oracle SR handling, and architecture design principles.

  • Language: Fluent English is mandatory.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Preparing prePROD environments to enable FSFO, executing Switchover/Failover tests, and troubleshooting FSFO issues.

  • Handling all Data Guard operations: syncing, resolving errors, and rebuilding standbys as needed.

  • Managing databases at the PDB/CDB level: creating new DBs, migrating old PDBs to new containers, and handling service validation.

  • Setting up and managing Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) Microservices and OEM.

  • Executing DB-level patching and necessary OS-level tweaks.

  • Rolling out changes to PROD, providing post-change support, and executing immediate rollback plans for business-critical databases if an implementation fails.
