Technical Architect (Oracle EBS)
CompassX is partnering with an enterprise client to support a fast-moving AI-driven initiative connecting their Oracle E-Business Suite environment to a broader integration and applications ecosystem. This is a chance to work at the architecture and development level on a genuinely complex problem for an organization that's investing seriously in modernizing how its core ERP talks to the rest of its new applications and technology stack.
What You'll Do
- Design and build a common data-services layer that connects multiple, differently configured Oracle EBS instances across regions - reconciling real differences between environments rather than treating them as identical
- Expose EBS data through integrations and APIs to other systems, with a particular focus on Manufacturing, Inventory, and Item Master data
- Work hands-on with PL/SQL, EBS Open Interfaces, and standard APIs - this is a build role, not a configuration role
- Partner directly with other developers and technical stakeholders as a peer - you'll be the one they come to with questions about the SQL and architecture, not someone translating between business and engineering
- Bring an architect's perspective to the work: looking across distinct systems, spotting where approaches diverge, and designing a solution that holds up across all of them rather than solving for just one environment
- Act as a trusted technical voice in a still-evolving initiative — this program is actively taking shape, and there's real room to help define how the work gets scoped and delivered, not just execute against a fixed spec
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience working as a true consultant to your stakeholders and clients
- Deep, hands-on Oracle EBS technical development experience - strong PL/SQL, EBS Open Interfaces and standard APIs, and concurrent program load mechanisms
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or SOA, plus REST/SOAP web services
- Working knowledge of EBS data models for Manufacturing/BOM, Inventory, and Item Master — direct experience with the Item/PTM table is especially valuable
- Experience working across multiple EBS instances, ideally having reconciled differently-configured environments
- A technical/integration mindset over a functional/configuration one - comfortable going deep on code and architecture, not just gathering requirements
- Comfort operating with some ambiguity - this is an early-stage initiative, and part of the value you bring is helping shape the approach alongside the team, not just following one that's already fully defined
- Bonus if familiarity with Oracle PD Cloud (Oracle PLM)
