Senior Palantir Foundry Engineer at BairesDev

In this role, you'll lead discovery work directly with surgeons, schedulers, and OR managers, then set the technical direction for the team. Working across multiple Foundry workstreams, you'll help transition operating room allocation from a utilization-based to a demand-driven, multi-site optimization model. This is your opportunity to work as a true Forward Deployed Engineer, combining deep Foundry expertise with direct engagement with non-technical clinical users to shape how perioperative operations run.

What You'll Do:

- Lead discovery and design sessions with clinical stakeholders to align on requirements, architecture, and success criteria.
- Redesign optimization logic to support cross-site prioritization and demand-driven OR allocation.
- Migrate the OR scheduler to OSDK to improve user experience, scalability, and reliability.
- Consolidate surgeon metadata into a unified dataset with standardized naming conventions and record identifiers.
- Build reporting interfaces that support decision-making on OR capacity utilization.
- Set technical direction and standards for the team.

What we are looking for:

- 3+ years of hands-on, production experience with Palantir Foundry, including Ontology design and pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with OSDK (Ontology SDK) building applications against the Ontology.
- Knowledge of Epic data and schema such as Clarity or Caboodle, along with clinical or surgical workflow familiarity.
- Experience with client-facing discovery and requirements definition with non-technical clinical users.
- Background migrating from legacy Foundry surfaces such as Slate or Workshop to OSDK.
- C1 or higher proficiency in English.

Nice to have:

- Technical leadership experience, setting standards and reviewing other engineers' work.
- Experience with Workshop, Quiver, or Object Explorer.
- Performance optimization of Foundry applications against large object sets.
- Palantir certification such as Foundry Application Developer or Foundry Data Engineer.
- Perioperative or surgical operations domain experience.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or healthcare interoperability standards.
- Background in operations research or optimization modeling, including capacity planning, constraint solving, or multi-site allocation.
- Experience with complex operational scheduling in industries such as aviation, manufacturing, or logistics.
- Data governance experience including master data, naming standards, and record identity across conflicting sources.
- Exposure to AIP.

How we do make your work (and your life) easier:

- 100% remote work (from anywhere).
- Excellent compensation in USD or your local currency if preferred
- Hardware and software setup for you to work from home.
- Flexible hours: create your own schedule.
- Paid parental leaves, vacations, and national holidays.
- Innovative and multicultural work environment: collaborate and learn from the global Top 1% of talent.
- Supportive environment with mentorship, promotions, skill development, and diverse growth opportunities.
