The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines, documentation, client communication, and competing priorities.

Personal injury experience is strongly preferred. CasePeer experience is a plus.

  • Track deadlines, case milestones, outstanding documentation, and next steps.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized electronic case files.
  • Prepare case summaries, medical chronologies, and supporting documentation for attorney review and settlement evaluation.
  • Identify delays, missing information, and potential issues, escalating concerns proactively.

Litigation & Attorney Support

  • Assist with pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
  • Coordinate discovery responses, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Organize evidence, medical records, correspondence, and exhibits for litigation.
  • Monitor litigation calendars and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Support settlement documentation, releases, and disbursement preparation under attorney supervision.
  • Anticipate attorney needs and keep cases moving with minimal oversight.

Client Communication & Collaboration

  • Provide timely, professional case updates and respond to client inquiries.
  • Coordinate outstanding records, signatures, and case-related information.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to maintain case progression and a consistent client experience.
  • Escalate client concerns and case issues appropriately.

Workflow & Accountability

  • Maintain accurate case management records and follow established firm procedures.
  • Prioritize competing deadlines and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to consistent case management practices as the firm grows.

Required Qualifications

  • At least five years of paralegal experience.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
  • Strong organizational, legal writing, proofreading, and document management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage cases, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, professional judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Plaintiff-side personal injury experience.
  • Experience managing cases through settlement and litigation.
  • Paralegal certification through a recognized paralegal certification program.
  • Familiarity with CasePeer or similar legal case management platforms.
  • Experience with discovery, deposition preparation, mediation, and trial support.

What Success Looks Like

  • Assigned cases are organized, documented, and consistently progressing.
  • Attorneys have timely access to accurate case information and litigation materials.
  • Deadlines, outstanding tasks, and potential issues are identified and addressed proactively.
  • Clients receive professional, timely communication.
  • Cases move forward with minimal administrative bottlenecks and limited need for day-to-day oversight.
