Senior Partner Manager, Accounting
About Numeral
Numeral is transforming how taxes get done. Digital businesses are currently bogged down by a painful web of regulations across 47 states and 70+ countries. We’re eliminating this burden so teams can focus on their core mission.
We’re the largest and fastest-growing AI-native tax solution. Started in 2023, Numeral has raised over $57M from Benchmark, Mayfield, Y-Combinator, and many others. We now serve over 3,000 paying customers and have more than tripled our revenue every year in our history.
We’re primarily hiring in our SF and NY offices, but do hire remotely in some cases.
Mission
Running an online business today means wearing a thousand hats, most of them not the reason founders started their company. Our mission is to eliminate the administrative and accounting burdens that distract businesses from doing what they love.
We’ve already helped thousands of businesses avoid the headache of building giant finance teams just to manage tax compliance. Tomorrow, we’re scaling that impact even further: building the automation layer that lets internet businesses stay nimble, compliant, and future-proof.
About the role
We're hiring a Senior Partner Alliance Manager, Accounting to build and own Numeral's relationships with our largest and most strategic accounting firm partners. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and expanding our market presence, driving a critical engine of our company's success. This is not a transactional, referral-only role; you'll create partnerships from the ground up, bringing the creativity and drive of someone building something new rather than managing something already established. You'll be measured on the full health of each partnership: referrals, joint marketing, enablement, and the strategic initiatives you build together.
This role requires a unique blend of relationship management, channel sales strategy, and operational rigor paired with the hunger and dynamism to match the pace Numeral is moving at. We're looking for a go-getter who's genuinely driven to make a visible, outsized impact: someone who builds the playbook while running the play, thrives on creating structure where none exists yet, and is energized rather than slowed down by a fast-changing environment.
What you’ll do
Own and grow Numeral's relationships with our largest and most strategic accounting and CPA firm partners, acting as the senior, trusted point of contact for each
Create new strategic partnerships from the ground up including identifying target firms, building the business case, and structuring and negotiating the relationship
Build and execute joint partnership plans with each firm that align Numeral's and the partner's goals and drive mutual growth
Engage partner leadership (Partners, Practice Leaders, and other senior stakeholders) to deepen strategic alignment and executive sponsorship
Drive the full mix of partner activity that determines success including referrals, co-marketing and joint content, partner enablement, and strategic initiatives
Design and run enablement programs (trainings, certifications, etc.) so partner teams can confidently identify and refer sales tax and VAT exposure
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Product on co-branded campaigns, events, and product integrations that extend the relationship beyond referrals
Define partner success metrics across referrals, marketing activity, enablement, and strategic initiatives, and report on partnership health at executive-level quarterly business reviews
Serve as the connective tissue between partners and the Numeral ecosystem
Work cross-functionally across Marketing, Growth, Direct Sales, and Product & Engineering to drive co-marketing opportunities, onboard new clients, and inform our product roadmap
Contribute to the overall channel strategy and execution
Track, analyze, and report on partner performance against agreed KPIs, and facilitate alignment between internal and external stakeholders
What you’ll bring
8+ years in partner or alliance management, with direct experience managing relationships within the accounting or CPA industry
A track record of owning and growing large, strategic partner relationships not just a book of transactional referral partners
Experience creating partnerships from scratch: identifying targets, building the pitch, and structuring and negotiating the relationship
Experience designing and executing joint partnership or business plans that span referrals, marketing, enablement, and strategic initiatives
Strong executive presence, with the credibility and confidence to engage and influence senior leadership at accounting firms
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
A strategic mindset paired with the willingness to be hands-on in building a program and a channel that is still taking shape
An existing network of relationships with leadership at accounting and advisory firms
Willingness to travel for partner meetings, conferences, and industry events
Even Better
Experience working inside an accounting or CPA firm (e.g., Big 4, regional, or advisory practice), giving you an insider's view of how partners evaluate and champion a solution
Experience building a strategic partnerships function from the ground up at an early- or growth-stage SaaS or fintech company

Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
Wellness perks like Headspace and the Peloton One App
401(k) to help you build long-term financial security
