Senior Payroll Officer - 12 months fixed-term

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations while acting as a trusted expert across the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver accurate and timely payroll processing (weekly, fortnightly, monthly cycles)
  • Resolve complex payroll queries and conduct root cause analysis
  • Manage terminations, redundancies, bonuses, commissions and adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and employment legislation
  • Maintain and improve payroll systems (SAP ECP, SuccessFactors, WFS)
  • Lead payroll reconciliations, reporting, month-end and statutory obligations (ATO, ABS, Super)
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and key stakeholders to deliver seamless outcomes
  • Contribute to process improvements, SOP development, and team capability uplift

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven payroll experience in a complex, high-volume environment
  • Strong expertise in SAP ECP and large HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (PAYG, Super, FBT, Workers Comp, NES)
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
