Join our team as one of six full-time, permanent Senior Payroll Officers based in Brisbane CBD and play a key role in delivering an exceptional payroll service across a large and diverse workforce. This is an opportunity for a hands-on payroll professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and making a genuine impact. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen systems, governance and the employee experience. What You'll Be Doing
· End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing across a high-volume workforce
· Interpret Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation to ensure compliance
· Manage onboarding, terminations and complex payroll adjustments
· Reconcile superannuation, leave entitlements and payroll accounts
· Drive continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems

About You
You're a passionate payroll professional who thrives on getting the details right, solving problems and finding better ways of working. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your expertise, curiosity and continuous improvement mindset can make a real impact.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- A curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Confidence investigating issues and identifying root causes
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
What Do You Need to Apply?
- 3+ years' experience in a high-volume, end-to-end payroll role
- Experience with Payroll Metrics and UKG Dimensions (highly regarded)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) — or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) — or willingness to obtain
