The Opportunity
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior People Operations Associate to join our dedicated People Team. If you enjoy working with people and have a passion for making HR processes run smoothly, this could be the perfect fit for you.
In this role, you'll help keep our HR operations on track across our APAC offices by supporting employees and managers, handling a range of employee transactions, and ensuring our data stays accurate. You'll also play a key role in driving HR initiatives and improving our policies and processes on a regional and global scale.
What You'll Do
Employee Transactions & Support
- Drive and handle Tier 2-level employee transactions and complex tasks from a People Operations perspective
- Act as a secondary point of contact for employee escalations, providing timely and helpful responses
Data & Reporting
- Manage and maintain employee data in Workday, including data loads and audits
- Generate, analyze, and improve Workday reports to support data-driven decision-making
Payroll & Documentation
- Assist with payroll preparation, including main cycle payroll, termination payments, leave of absence (LOA), time off, and short-term sick leave
- Draft and prepare employee documents, including employment contracts, job change addendums, and contract renewal reminders, and coordinate hands-on execution of document signing
Policy & Process Improvement
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulations
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing HR processes and contribute to implementing solutions
- Identify areas for improvement and automation, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders through data-driven insights
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Collaborate with the broader People Team, regionally and globally, on various projects and initiatives
- Provide thought partnership to internal stakeholders (compensation, immigration, compliance, payroll, IT, recruiting, benefits) as a subject matter expert on people ops matters
- Support the People Ops Manager in managing external vendors and service providers
- Execute tasks and projects as directed by the People Solutions Manager
What You'll Bring
- At least 5 years of experience as an HR/People Operations Associate or HR Generalist, ideally in a startup or rapid-growth company
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience processing a wide range of HR transactions
- Strong understanding of HR best practices across Southeast Asia
- Experience with Workday HRIS is required
- Solid understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements, particularly within Southeast Asia
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize a high volume of concurrent tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong drafting and policy creation skills
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and/or G-Suite applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
- Open-minded and highly adaptive to change
